Gold Award Winner
Nancy Smith won the Gold Award for her entry into the Traditional category of the Glasgow Quilt Show. We are very proud of her and her achievement. Well done Nancy!
Glasgow Quilt Show
We are delighted to have had a very successful first exhibition in Glasgow with a lot of interest and many very positive comments. Thank you to everyone who came by. We enjoyed talking to you. Thank you too, to all those who wrote such encouraging things in our visitors book. We are already buzzing with ideas for our next exhibition.
Our First Exhibition at the Glasgow Quilt Show
We are excited to be preparing for our first exhibition at the Glasgow Quilt Show on 2nd – 5th March. The four of us who remain in the group will each show two new quilts on the themes ‘New Reflections’ to celebrate our chosen name and ‘Kenmore’ following an inspiration finding visit there. We will also display two of ‘tricia’s quilts to honour her memory and her participation in this group, including the early planning of this exhibition.

at sadness that we report the death of our dear friend ‘tricia on 7th October 2016. ‘tricia was a valuable member of our group as a quilter and also for her sunny personality and wonderful smile. She loved our experimental days and sharing the experience. She was also a member of Region 16 and the Contemporary Group of the Quilters Guild. She submitted journal quilts for several years and won third place in the Scottish Quilt Championships two weeks before her death with her small wall hanging ‘Kaleidoscope to Freedom’.
She will be greatly missed.
